We brush moss off by hand and treat the roof with zinc to keep it from coming back.

- Detailed Moss Removal: thorough brushing between shingles to remove about 95% of visible moss, then zinc on what is left. Minor staining may remain.

Good questions
Do you pressure wash or soft wash roofs?
No. We brush moss off by hand and treat with zinc. It is gentler on shingles and works well in our climate.
How long does a zinc treatment last?
Think seasonal. Zinc powder slows regrowth for the season; it does not remove stains or stop moss for good. Zinc strips along the ridge send trace zinc down the roof (roughly the first 10 feet below the strip) to help keep moss and algae away. They prevent, they do not remove existing moss, and nothing about moss is guaranteed.
What is the difference between Light and Detailed?
Light is gentle brushing or a squeegee on surface moss, then zinc; some embedded moss may stay. Detailed is thorough brushing between the shingles to take off about 95% of the visible moss, then zinc on the rest; minor staining may remain. We will recommend one at your estimate.
